We hope you’ve made the most of the past months and will arrive at the starting line well-prepared and rested. Before the big day, we’d like to share and remind you of a few important points.
Here is the link for this year’s dotwatching:
https://cs.follow.me.cz/tracking/RTSK2025/
You’ll see route segments and all participants appear on the map in the next few hours/days.
Reminder: The GPS tracker transmits location data via a SIM card that relies on mobile signal. There may be parts of the route where the signal drops, making it appear as though you’ve stopped moving for a while. It’s also possible that the tracker malfunctions. In such cases, you or your loved ones can contact Lukáš Harsa (+421 949 681 112) — we’ll try to restart the tracker remotely. If that doesn’t work, one of our photographers along the route will replace your tracker.
Please do not report tracker issues in the group chat, as the message may be overlooked. Contact Lukáš directly by phone or Whatsapp.
Book your check-in time on Calendly
We’ve decided to turn Friday’s check-in — when you’ll collect your GPS tracker and starter package — into a small cycling festival.
You’ll meet our partners from Švihaj Šop, who will bring test rides of Bullitt, Omnium, and Tern cargo bikes, as well as road and gravel bikes from Look and Lapierre. You can also try out Brooks Cambium saddles and bikepacking gear from Restrap, Ortlieb, and Tubus. If you’re missing any gear, items will be available for purchase. A mechanic will also be on site to assist with any last-minute bike issues.
Diamonds Roastery will serve excellent coffee from their mobile café. You can also grab energy bars from U Vážky, a package-free store.
We’ll have RTSK merch (socks) available for purchase — proceeds support our future projects.
Other partners like MTBIKER, Vaude, and Rim Rebellion will be there to showcase their endurance and adventure gear. The check-in itself will take place at the Isadore showroom, where you can browse their full range of cycling clothing and accessories.
At 5:00 PM, Juraj Karas will join us to share last-minute endurance race tips (sorry, only in Slovak).
At 6:00 PM, we’ll screen a documentary from the first edition of Race through Slovakia — a great way to revisit what lies ahead over 1,000 km (with English subtitles).
Feel free to invite your friends to the Bike Check Festival!
All border crossings between Slovakia and Hungary are open to cyclists. Existing vehicle restrictions apply only to those over 3.5 tons. This means you can follow your originally planned route across borders during Race through Slovakia.
Please note updates to the mandatory segments:
#1 Schöneweg Parkour – Minor change in a curve within a neutral zone. No need to download a new GPX file; just follow the peloton.
#5 Przehyba Parkour – Small adjustment at the beginning of the segment due to off-road routing.
#6 Ťatliakova chata Parkour – Route change due to resurfacing. This part is no longer accessible, and a new GPX file is required.
All GPX files are available here:

For everyone’s safety, we have officially banned the use of the southern corridor between Rožňava and Zvolen, specifically: European route E58 and National Road I/16.
The only exception is if you ride a short stretch (max 2 km) to connect two lower-class roads. If unsure which section this applies to, check here: https://rtsk.cc/trasa-rtsk25/ (the Google map with this road is at the bottom of the page)
Southern Slovakia lacks continuous highways, and this corridor is heavily used by trucks and cars — posing a major danger to cyclists.
Also, remember you are obliged to follow traffic regulations. In particular, see point 15 of the rules you agreed to (https://rtsk.cc/pravidla/) — this includes not riding on roads where cycling is prohibited.
We care about your safety and fairness — no rider should gain an advantage by breaking traffic laws.
