In 2027, riders will face six or five mandatory segments, depending on the chosen route. Between them, everyone plans their own route and decides which way to continue. We will publish the mandatory segments when registration opens on 19 November 2026.

Finish: Škola v prírode Kysak, Kysak
(We chose Kysak as the finish location with an easy journey home in mind. The village lies on one of Slovakia’s main railway routes and is served by both long-distance and regional trains. This means you won’t have to rely on a car pick-up after finishing, and from Kysak you can easily continue towards Košice, Žilina, Bratislava, or other parts of Slovakia.)
Time limit: There is no official time limit. The organising team and finish-line facilities will remain available until 21 May 2027 at 12:00.

650 km route aimed primarily at endurance cycling beginners
The shorter, but still demanding, version of Race Through Slovakia 2027 is aimed primarily at riders who are new to endurance cycling. We have reserved 70 places for riders who have never taken part in our races before, riders who previously started Race Through Slovakia but did not finish, or riders whose best result in previous editions was 120 hours or more on the 1,000 km route or 72 hours or more on the 650 km route.
We would like the 650 km route to serve as an entry point for newcomers and less experienced riders. If you are looking for a faster race across Slovakia, sign up for RTSK SPRINT, which will once again take place in September 2027.
Registration fee and refund policy
The registration fee is €119 if paid by 31 December 2026.
For payments made from 1 January 2027, the registration fee is €139.
If you register but later find that you are unable to take part in the race, you have two options:
- If requested by 28 February 2027, we will refund 60% of the registration fee you paid, or
- you can find another rider to take your place at any time before the start of the race, and we will transfer your registration to them.
The organising team will not maintain its own list of replacement riders or manage communication between participants who withdraw and people who may take their place.
We have created a dedicated chat in our WhatsApp community for communicating with people on the waiting list. If you are looking for a replacement, you can contact people in this chat or find someone from among your friends or cycling community.
Why can’t we refund the full registration fee?
Organising the event involves costs that arise long before the race itself begins. These include, for example, renting GPS trackers and producing cycling caps. The event budget also covers media teams who will document your adventure along the route, including fees for photographers and other team members, as well as travel and fuel costs.
Some of these costs have to be paid in advance and may remain unchanged even if a participant withdraws. For this reason, once your registration has been confirmed, we cannot guarantee a full refund of the amount paid.
Replacement rider before the start
You can transfer your registration to another person at any time before the start of the race. However, finding a replacement rider is the responsibility of the originally registered participant.
Especially during the final weeks before the event, people on the waiting list may no longer be able to arrange time off work, organise travel or prepare physically for the race. At the same time, the organising team is fully occupied with final race preparations, which means we are unable to contact potential participants individually or arrange replacements on behalf of withdrawing riders.
Starter pack
All registered riders will receive a starter pack including a cotton tote bag, a cycling cap with a unique design, various discounts for cycling and bikepacking shops, and promotional items from our partners. We will gradually announce the full list of partners.
