How to proceed:

  1. By 17 February 2025 ask your employer to perform the annual settlement of advance income tax. Also request the issuance of the Confirmation of Tax Paid.
  2. Download the Declaration with our civic association’s details to allocate 2% of your tax to Back on Track. Fill in your data (name, national ID number, and permanent address) and calculate the amount corresponding to 2% of the tax paid. A detailed guide can be found here.
  3. No later than 30 April 2025 send the forms (Confirmation of Tax Paid and the Declaration to allocate 2%) to the tax office according to your place of residence. If you are not sure which tax office is competent, check here.
  4. If you performed at least 40 hours of volunteer work for our civic association in 2024, you can allocate up to 3% of your tax. In that case you will need a confirmation of volunteer work from us. To obtain the confirmation, please contact us at info@rtsk.sk.

I file my own tax return

Are you a natural person filing your own tax return? You may be an employee while also running a business, or you have other sources of income, including from abroad. First determine whether you file a Type A or Type B return:

  1. for 2024 you had income only from employment,
  2. you also have other income, e.g., from business, rental, etc.

In both cases, the field to allocate 2% (or 3%) of tax is already part of the tax return form.

The deadline for filing the regular tax return (and thus for allocating 2%) is by 31 March 2025 (or by the date of an extended tax return). By this date, deliver the Type A form to your tax office (if unsure which one, check here) or submit the Type B tax return electronically.

Forms:

I am a legal entity

Legal entities can allocate 1% (2%) of tax to multiple beneficiaries, with a minimum amount of €8.00 per beneficiary. Since 2018, legal entities must communicate with the tax office electronically.

You can find the electronic tax filing form here.

Why donate 2% of tax?

This is not an extra contribution from your own money. If you do not exercise this right, the tax office will transfer these funds to the state budget. It is your unique opportunity to direct a portion of your taxes where it truly matters.

We would be very grateful if you choose to support our civic association Back on Track. All funds raised will be used to improve Race through Slovakia, enhance rider comfort, and maximize safety on the course. Looking ahead, we would like to bring a cycling festival to Bratislava where you can meet your favourite brands and service providers, hear stories from long-distance bikepacking trips, and most importantly meet friends from the cycling community. We want to connect cyclists in this way too.

THANK YOU for considering directing your two percent of tax to our civic association.
